Week 8: FML Goes Platinum Bonus time has arrived one again |
![]() In addition to bringing in all that revenue, these heavy-hitters accomplished the difficult task of knocking the Red Hot Chili Peppers out of our top five platinum bonus earners. Speaking of shifts in power, we have a new number one artist in Alternative - My Chemical Romance shot up a whopping 13 spots this week straight to the top, and experiencing a 144% increase in revenue to boot. They took in $550,000 in bonuses for their new position. At a $1 million sale price, these guys are a steal. Ok Go, AFI, Blue October and Hinder all got a little upward boost this week as well, each jumping up 4 spots. Our friends U2 are back on the charts, as well as Jared Leto's 30 Seconds To Mars and Taking Back Sunday. CHR is seeing a lot of crossover from our Urban artists this week. Ludacris rose up 5 sots, Ciara 4, and rappers Diddy and Chingy found their way onto the ranks as well. Artists in mutiple categories mean more money for your label, so think about maximizing your roster so tit's got the most bang for your buck. On our Country charts this week, we've seen returns from Emerson Drive, George Strait, Brad Paisley and Rodney Atkins. Heartland has also found its way to a number 2 position. All is quiet on the Hot AC front this time 'round, except for a short burst from pop diva Christina Aguilera, who rose up 4 spots, and has increased her revenue by 50%. Little JoJo has also made her way back into our lives at number 19. Akon shook things up a bit this week on the Urban charts -- he took over the number 5 position after jumping up 9 spots, ousting Danity Kane from their comfy spot in the top 5. Bow Wow, Lyfe Jennings, Webstar and Snoop Dogg have also re-emerged on the charts since last time. As far as our Open League standings go, I've got some good news and some bad news. First, the good news: the race is back on for our top two Open League players! Only $852 separates Stevemoose and Fetzmonger, and once again, it's anyone's game. Now for the bad news: the revenue drops down from there...way down. By a little under 9 million to be exact. If you want to snag those prizes, I suggest making some bold changes to your roster. It's not too late! Just be sure to get it all in by Monday noon, 12pm (PT). More on Snow Patrol ![]() More on The Fray ![]() More on Justin Timberlake ![]() |
