image of Laura KatzWe're almost halfway through the FML season, and it looks like we're in for quite a ride the rest of the way.

Our NMC artists have been playing a game of musical chairs on our eTracks charts ever since the season began, with no sign of settling anytime soon.

On Alternative this week, Fall Out Boy is our new top dog, with "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs," Modest Mouse is in 2nd place, and Nine Inch Nails soared up 10 spots, landing in 3rd. Another big mover was the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They had a stellar week and shot up 15 spots to hit #5.

Let's hear it for Daughtry - the rock band is at #1 on CHR, with Justin Timberlake and Carrie Underwood at #2 and 3, repsectively.

Timbaland came in at #4 with "Give It To Me," and Nickelback rounded out the top 5 with "If Everyone Cared." Apparently many do.

Carrie Underwood's back on top in Country with the single "Wasted." Billy Currington is definitely "Doing Something Right," because he's jumped from #19 to #2 this week, and has boosted his revenue by a staggering 540%. Whaa?

Dierks Bentley is at #3, Gary Allan at #4, and Eric Church takes over 5th place with the single "Guys Like Me." Let's not forget to give a warm welcome to Bucky Covington - the "Amercian Idol" grad has made his official NMC debut this week at #20 with "A Different World."

Carrie Underwood is on fire once again - this time on Hot AC. The star rose up 4 spots to hit #1 with the single "Before He Cheats." Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani are in 2nd and 3rd place, with The Fray and Pink both getting a big enough boost to place them in the top five.

Timbaland still reigns supreme on the Urban charts, with Fergie coming in right behind at #2 with "Glamorous." Bad boy Akon is at #3 with "Don't Matter," Robin Thicke is at #4, and The MIMS round things out at #5.

And finally, Swizz Beatz made their NMC debut this week, coming in at #19 with the single, "It's Me Snitches."

See you week 7, and until then...happy playing!
